The food and drink we provide for children here at Banana Moon Catterick are balanced throughout the day, and healthy eating is prioritised. The Eary Years Professionals here ensure mealtimes are relaxed, and the staff make mealtimes enjoyable, sitting with the children and enjoying lots of diverse conversations. We also teach children about healthy eating through discussions, questions, and activities such as our weekly cooking club with Karen, our cook, using ingredients from our garden wherever possible. Some of the lovely meals and snacks Karen makes include homemade scones, pork and apple plait, lasagne, fish pie, and custard biscuits. The children have a selection of fresh fruit daily, and snacks are healthy, offering freshly made popcorn and vegetable crudites with dips. All very delicious!
